Drawing from his own experiences helping friends navigate international moves, Matthew had an idea: what if AI could make the complex process of moving abroad simple and accessible?

What started as a hackathon project quickly evolved into something bigger. The prototype caught the attention of expats, digital nomads, and immigration experts who all shared the same frustration – the lack of reliable, comprehensive information about moving abroad. The team discovered that millions of people face these challenges every year, from professionals seeking new opportunities to families looking for better lives.

The hackathon project transformed into XpatAI. Matthew decided to turn this proof-of-concept into a full-fledged platform, combining cutting-edge AI technology with real-world data and human expertise. The goal was ambitious but clear: create a revolutionary platform that not only provides accurate, up-to-date information but truly understands and adapts to each person's unique journey.

The team grew quickly. Marcus Rodriguez, impressed by the hackathon demo, joined as Head of Technology, bringing his expertise in AI and natural language processing. Aisha Patel, who had experienced firsthand the challenges of relocating across five different countries, came on board as Head of Operations to ensure the platform addressed real-world challenges effectively.
